1. What I do for the Earth. Maybe you recycle, clean up litter, or don’t buy so many consumable goods.

2. Where does all the garbage go? Show us what happens to everything we throw away.

3. Where did all the animals go? Choose an animal that is endangered in Illinois and show us how to stop them from becoming extinct!

Earth Day Poster Contest

April 2010- Turn your trash into a work of art! 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places will be awarded in each group. Two age groups: Group 1: ages 5-7 years. Group 2: ages 8-11 years. Winners will receive a prize. Winners will be announced at our Earth Day Celebration on April 22 at 3:30 p.m. Join us for Earth Day activities from 3-5 pm!

Submissions are due on Sunday, April 18th by 5 p.m.

Please follow these guidelines: 1. Poster must be no larger than 11 x 17 inches. 2. In an effort to REUSE objects, posters must be made only from plastic, and paper (includes cardboard) that would otherwise be disposed of. 3. You may use glue or tape to attach items to the poster and markers, pens, or pencils to add text to your poster.
