Spring 2008 classes included the following:

Pet Club

Pet Club is back by popular demand and will be running two back-to-back sessions. If you love animals and want to learn about them, then this is the program for you. Every week students learn about and interact with a wide variety of animals.

Earth Bound

Students will have an opportunity to go on a safari, hike or swim through different habitats as they learn about the animals that live there. Throughout their journey they will also see how people affect these habitats and gain information that will help them change the future.

As Easy As Uno...Dos...Tres!

Through the use of familiar science, students ages 8 and up will discover science in Spanish. This is for children learning Spanish, and want to increase their skills as well as their knowledge of science.

Art Lab

Inspired by Da Vinci, Einstein and Kids this new spring program is a chance for art and science to come together. Run by Art Education Masters Student Justine Bursoni, this class is sure to bring creativity to the sciences. Students will make pinhole cameras, do Cyanotypes, learn to draw from a perspective system, play with lenses and optics and make paint from eggs.

Orpheum Wizards

Mad science is fun in this unique program that explores a variety of science topics. Every week expect something new, designed to entertain, enlighten and explore including microscopes, optics, chemistry and static electricity.
